ANKARA (NET) - Israel is deeply concerned by the deepening military cooperation between Iran and Russia, Israeli prime minister told Ukraine’s top diplomat Thursday.

In a tweet after a phone call with Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Yair Lapid said; "I shared with him our deep concern about the military ties between Iran and Russia."

During their conversation, Israel’s premier expressed his country’s support for Ukraine, saying; “Israel stands with the Ukrainian people.”

Lapid noted that Ukraine’s Kuleba updated him on the ongoing war in the country.

Russia and Israel have been at odds since Yair Lapid took over as the latter’s Prime Minister in July.
