The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Friday confirmed there is no damage to Iranian nuclear facilities after a reported Israeli strike early morning.
“IAEA can confirm that there is no damage to #Iran’s nuclear sites,” the agency posted on X, formerly Twitter.
It added that IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi urges all parties to restraint as the tension soared between Israel and Iran in recent days, reiterating that "nuclear facilities should never be a target in military conflicts."
The agency also added they are closely monitoring the situation.
Israel reportedly carried out a strike inside Iran early morning, targeting the central province of Isfahan.
Tensions soared between Iran and Israel after the Tel Aviv's strike on the Iranian Consulate in Damascus killing seven military advisers on April 1. In response to the Israeli attack, Tehran launched a drone and missile attack on Saturday.
